Hi,
I'm thinking of trying to make cider at some stage, and am collecting recipes and methods. I have a modern kitchen juicer which produces a pulpy juice, and a fairly juicy pulp as waste. Do you know if this would be any use in cider making? I thought if the juice was strained, it would be ok as the base for the cider, and perhaps add to it what comes from pressing the remaining juice from the pulp. There's a lot of these machines around now, I thought you may have some experience of them.
Thank you, and thanks for the informative web pages!

I chop apples into large bits, then feed them through a garden shredder (which is not used for anything else the rest of the year). The resulting pomace is perfect for pressing.

Yep, press it, sounds like that juicer of yours will make good for small batches.
