Any one any thoughts on where I can get hold of a reasonably priced press please ? Only second year making and realised my miniature press no practical. Only made 80 liters last year and not got much space to store a huge amount; so guess looking for a press in region of 20-40 liters ? Dont want pay hundreds for a new, if can help it (is only a hobby !).
Any advice / help be appreciated. Jon

Hi Jon, I've always tried to keep costs right down...to nothing. With a bit of thought and a pal who does a bit of welding You should be able to make a steel frame up. cut an Ali beer barrel in half and drill the bottom with a dozen large holes. Put a heavy duty poly sheet under the barrel to keep the juice away from the steel and to channel it into your bucket. Put your cheeses between two circular ply boards then get cracking with a bottle or scissor jack from your car between the top board and the top frame member. Its not fast but it works. Good Luck
