Greetings to all. I have been making cider and perry commercially in West Berkshire from local fruit since 1995. I ceased cider production about 5 years ago (bad timing!) but am still making perry from local pears. There are now 5 cider makers in Berkshire, and one or two more starting up.
Berkshire cider is made mostly from cookers and eaters in the Eastern Counties style. I prefer the crisp, dry, slightly citric taste of such ciders.
Old Scrump's Cider House is an amazing resource, but I am having difficulty in getting the administrator to update my e-mail address. For the record, it is <contact@lambournvalleycider.co.uk>.
